Osaka Japan 8/26/2011-10/12/2011
Since this semester, I came to Osaka, Japan. This is one of the ETC branches around the world. Every ETCer is able to pick one branch to do a project in each semester. I had such a great time in Osaka, also for the project. I love Japanese culture more now. We visited a lot of places both about culture and universities including Tokyo University, Tokyo university of Technology, Osaka University, Keio University. Also we visited Sony Entertainment to talk to the tech people there. I had a chance to see the latest technology about graphics and robotics in Japan and also visited a lot of awesome professors.
Summer internship at Graphics Lab in CMU 5/1/2011-7/25/2011
This is the first paid job I get since I came to America. I worked with a post PHD named Junggon and Professor Nancy Pollard. The project is about creating a hand model with the Jounggon's physical library to create a real time movement. The final purpose is to grasp objects in the virtual world and calculating the force real time. My job is to use the Vuzix company's HMD device and the cyberglove to make the user to be able to wondering in the virtual world plus the mocap system to decide the rotation and the position, which give me a change to get to know three new devices at the same time and combine them all in the same projcet. Using different company's sdk and compile them smoothly is the biggest challenge I met now. Now I have successfully finished my job and knew a lot more about math and different platforms.

Computer Graphics Class at Main Campus 1/17/2011-5/2/2011
Every ETC student is required to take 1-2 elective classes in every semester. For me, I choose the Computer Graphics and a seminar of Computer Graphics for this semester. Because I'm interested to be a Physics or Rendering Programmer in the future in the game industry. I just talked to the teacher Nancy today and knew some basic requriement of this class. She is a very nice woman.
After a semester's hard work, I did a great job in this class. I got two first price for the whole 5 projects.
